Build a 55hp SB Monk or SS/SV Necro and farm Ecto in the UW - Sell good gold weapons from the UW Chests at high prices - Learn to test rather than ID and sell crap Golds UNid'd also at high prices.
Do that and you'll make a million in a lot less than a month. I pull in around 20 ecto a session + golds.

Congrats, it's a worthy milestone if you earned it. I have 900k in storage and about 50k on each of my 3 toons, trying not to max out completely. But I also have assets with value like 130 Bleached Shells, around 400 dyes, etc. I couldn't care less about flashy armor with the exact same stats as the Droknar's I have on all 3 of my characters. Function over form any day. Hopefully Factions will have something that is better and doesn't just look different from the equipment in Prophecies. Otherwise, I'll just keep my gold and maybe Chapter 3 will give me a reason to spend it.

Everyones talking about investing in runes and whatnot etc etc. I think that it would be best to buy some perfect gold weapons like i mean for each char and DO not customize them, upon doing this im saying roughly 2 per char and only get like sundering and fort or something and enchanting caus eu can always sell them for a lot then simply buy 10 rubies 10 sapps and 10 shards u should still have 500-300k enough to dilly dally in factions
or you can go to ascalon find my character and give her o 40-500k but thats only ifu really want to.
In terms of FoW armor unless u know u can make 700k back fairly quickly dont buy it or farm ur own materials for the armor. i personally love nec fow armor but meh thats just me it seems

I wouldn't invest in runes. The rune economy hangs on the balance of one spell- Protective Spirit. When the AOE nerf hit, superior monk runes halved in price almost overnight. Now they're about a third the cost of what they once were. If PS gets nerfed (or the -50 Idol gets removed) so that 55HP builds can't work anymore, the rune market will nosedive and anyone who stockpiled superiors will lose their own ass and half their mother's. The only thing in the economy that hasn't fluctuated yet is Bleached Shells. 1k apiece, all day every day, and no shortage of customers. Black Dye has fallen, ectos have fallen, Superior Absoption and Vigor have fallen, only a few weapon skins have any lasting value. Investing in Rare materials is risky too, because if they turn out not to be used in Chapter 2, the prices will tank on them. Personally, I'm just going to keep my gold and buy what I want / need as I please. Never forget that Wall Street has put people in the poorhouse as well as the penthouse.

There's absolutly nothing to invest to. The only things that'll continue to raise in price are nerfed items (HOD Axe, HOD Sword, 15%FFS, -20 Axe, 20/20 Rockmolder, +X% unconditional Damage mods), and if you're willing to take a 300K+ Gold risk on these items (since they might get permanently removed some day). What prices aren't falling?
Every item without a rare skin, Ectos, Shards, Runes, they're all going down quickly, and I doubt this will ever change.
The investing day are over, you don't simply stack 250 Ectos, since it's absolutly stupid, especially with big amounts, you're actually slowly losing gold just by investing in Ectos or anything else that's dropping in price.

Better armor for a lot of money equals unbalance in the game, therefor this will never happen. Don't keep you're hopes up.
The only thing the new chapters will provide is armor with (perhaps) balanced new stats or a different look. After all, all the armor that costs more than Droknar's Forge armor is a moneydrain.
Welcome to the club LokiCai, although my membership has expired after I bought my FoW armor.

Congrats. I hit the 1 mill last weekend, and I'm at the point where I have to figure out what I'm going to do with it.
But my choice as made well before I hit it: I am collecting one of every green there is. A poster a page ago said he did this with 82, but by my count there are 86 different greens, 87 if you want the 20/20 Rockmolder. I'm at 69, with only Bortak staff and bone cesta costing more than 40k of those remaining. At some point I'm going to have to stop green farming and just by the remainders.
I collect greens because, with Factions and all the new skills available, some of these might become much more valuable as new builds arrive. Such as Gordac gear now.
If greens isn't your speed, I'd just say stock ectos n shards, to be one of the first to be running around with 15k gear on your new Assassin or Ritualist. I wouldn't bother stockpiling common crafting items as you can buy them any time cheaper than the traders, often just a hair above what you get for selling them back to the traders.
As for rubies, sapphires, and monstrous crafting materials......it's all just speculation at this point. I will neither buy nor sell what I've found.

My favorite way to spend cash is to use black dye on my pvp chars, then delete them anywhere between a few hours to a week later.

Something else you should do though, is stop bragging. You just made this thread because you wanted to show everyone that you've got 1 million money, and that's lame.

I keep stacking ectos, shards, dyes & whatever there is (not worrying about if prices go down someday) and bought my gf a FoW armor for her mesmer and helped her to get FoW armours for her Ele & Monk.
Helping someone is a good way to 'invest' your money

This reminds me of a guild member who had a full set of obsidian armour and 5 sets of 15k armour and still used minor and major vigors.
When i asked him why he spent so much money on armour which gave no advantage other than aesthics and didn't buy at least a sup vigor on his obsidian armour he replyed " but it costs 55k " so much vanity.
Anyway congrats on getting a million in storage, just hope you spend some like i always do since it's a pile of numbers, might as well turn them into shiny items

I really don't know what to do, my other goal was to get the fow druid armor for my ranger, just that one piece not the whole set. Not really a big spender and goes for expensive perfect items and whole set of fow. So lets see.
